ED Liza G. Battad—a co-creating icon of the DA-PCC network

As a co-creation advocate, she is selfless and willing to give the ‘stage’ to innovative millennials and leaders. A “dabarkads” of the ground crew, janitors, maintenance staff, and farm workers. She promotes an equity culture where everyone is free to share their thoughts and opinions and feel a psychologically safe workplace.

Among her accomplishments include:

1. Founding member-officer of PCCEA; 

2. Introduced the Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (PRAISE); 

3. Assisted then ED in generating big-ticket projects (Dairy Fast Track, KR2, KOICA projects, JICA, PL480); 

4. The first to propose and get scholarship program from a highly prestigious SEA institution (SEARCA) where 20 PCCeans benefitted; 

5. Initiated business models through research–brought forth Dairy Box and Kardeli;

6. Established a dedicated group in Food Safety, backed by the FSCO, aimed at supporting cooperative suppliers for the Milk Feeding Program in collaboration with DepEd and DSWD. Efforts are also being made to secure Farm business LTO accreditation, which will help maintain the rising trust of clients, bolstered by the DA-PCC’s provision of scientific and extension support;

7. Developed and institutionalized digital performance dashboards to aid decision-making and inspire productivity and profitability-oriented program implementation; 

8. The first PCCEan to be entrusted with the role of Assistant Secretary. She was also tasked to perform an ED position, a testament to her leadership capabilities. This experience provided her with a broader perspective to effectively contribute to the DA-PCC and the carabao industry;

9. Since 2014, she has been imparting knowledge as a graduate professor in Management at UP, playing a crucial role in mentoring the next breed of dynamic leaders. Her teaching and engagement with industry practitioners reflect her commitment to continuous learning and interaction.
