DA-PCC, ACPC create TWG for agri-value chain financing

The DA-Philippine Carabao Center (DA-PCC) and the Agricultural Credit Policy Council (ACPC) established a Technical Working Group (TWG) that will oversee the Agri-Value Chain Financing (AVCF) under the Agri-Negosyo Loan Program. This initiative is designed to support carabao and carabao-based enterprises (CBEs) by facilitating the verification, assessment, and approval of loans aimed at fostering sustainable growth in the carabao farming sector.

The TWG will ensure that the program’s objectives are met through clear, consistent, and equitable guidelines for loan distribution. It will be responsible for verifying eligibility, assessing loan applications, and monitoring the sustainability and performance of loan recipients to drive long-term success in carabao farming businesses.

This collaboration between DA-PCC and ACPC underscores the government’s commitment to enhancing the economic viability of CBEs, promoting innovation, and supporting the growth of the agricultural sector. Through this partnership, the Agri-Negosyo Loan Program will help unlock the full potential of carabao farming in the Philippines.

Both agencies plan to prioritize cooperatives within the Agri-Value Chain. This strategic focus aims to foster growth and sustainability in the agricultural sector, enhancing the overall efficiency of the value chain.
